Netflix unveiled the first-look images of the second season of Beef, which is scheduled to premiere on the streamer on April 16. The second season stars Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Cailee Spaeny, Charles Melton, Youn Yuh Jung and Song Kang Ho in lead roles.
Sharing the images, Netflix also gave away the plotline for the second season of Beef. "A newly engaged couple (Cailee Spaeny and Charles Melton) become entangled in the unravelling marriage of their general manager and his wife (Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan). Both couples vie for the approval of the elitist club's billionaire owner, Chairwoman Park (Youn Yuh Jung), who struggles to manage her own scandal involving her second husband (Song Kang Ho)," it reads.
Lee Sung Jin created Beef, for which he also serves as a showrunner. The first season of the series, starring Steven Yeun and Ali Wong, was inspired by Sung Jin's personal road rage experience. Sung Jin also serves as an executive producer alongside Yeun, Wong, Isaac, Mulligan, and season two stars Melton and Spaeny. Director Jake Schreier also serves as an executive producer. A24 backs the series along with Netflix.
Seoyeon Jang, William Fichtner, Mikaela Hoover, and BM also star in the second season of Beef.
