Actor Henry Winkler has been in cinema for over five decades now. The 80-year-old is understandably getting plenty of questions from fans about whether he plans to retire anytime soon. However, Winkler said in a recent conversation on the podcast IMO with Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson that retirement is not on his mind at present and that he would only consider it when he can no longer act. Expressing his gratitude to the audience for keeping him in cinema for all these years, the veteran actor said that all the retirement talk is 'deadly' for him.
Henry Winkler is best known for his roles in HBO's series Barry, Happy Days, Arrested Development, and Parks and Recreation. Winkler has been an active part of films over the last few years, with his role in Barry helping him land a maiden Primetime Emmy Award in 2018 and three more Emmy nominations. The actor has multiple projects waiting for release in the near future. Henry Winkler's upcoming films include Normal with Bob Odenkirk as well as Rolling Loud with Matt Rife, Owen Wilson, and Christine Ko. While director Ben Wheatley's film Normal, also starring Lena Headey, is set to hit theatres in April, writer-director Jeremy Garelick's Rolling Loud, also starring Sexyy Red, is expected to release later this year.
Beyond cinema, Winkler and Winkler, his writing partner, have released Detective Duck: The Mystery at Emerald Pond, their 40th book for children as well.
