The news about the earlier-than-expected release of The Rings of Power season 3 is sure to excite legions of Tolkien fans around the world. It comes not long after Prime Video renewed the series for a third season this February.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power has been quite successful for Prime Video, having amassed about 170 million audiences across the world. Hailing from executive producers and showrunners Patrick McKay and JD Payne, The Rings of Power season 3 will have a major time leap in terms of its story arc.
The official logline reads thus: "Jumping forward several years from the events of season two, season three takes place at the height of the War of the Elves and Sauron, as the Dark Lord seeks to craft the One Ring that will give him the edge he needs to win the war and conquer all Middle-earth at last."
