Created by Otto Binder and Al Plastino, Brainiac was first introduced in 1958. Along with Lex Luthor, Brainiac has been considered to be a classic Superman villain. Brainiac is a half alien and half android being, who is from the fictional planet of Colu. He shrinks cities and and collects them, with the most famous of them all being the bottled city of Kandor, the home of General Zod. The character has been portrayed across different media, with the latest portrayal being in the TV series, Superman and Lois.
