Jessie Cave, who is known for playing Lavender Brown in the Harry Potter franchise, recently took to her Substack page to reveal that that she was barred from attending a Harry Potter fan convention because of her OnlyFans account.
Cave penned on her Substack page, ““I found out that I didn’t get booked for a Harry Potter convention recently, as I’m now doing OnlyFans. They explained it was because it’s a ‘family show and OnlyFans is affiliated with porn.’” The Harry Potter actor added that she found it baffling, considering she uses her OnlyFans page only to create sensual hair content, and that it’s ‘not a sexual account,’ while some actors who have done sex scenes in TV and films continue to be invited to the same conventions.
She further wrote in her post, “I am not upset about the prospect of no more Harry Potter conventions. There’s going to be a new cast now and it’s a different time.” Cave also called herself lucky for being able to do these conventions for over 15 years, adding, “I have enough photos and wizard memorabilia. The money I got from signing photos of my face was the only real money I made. But maybe it’s time to move on and play some new characters.”
Cave’s other popular acting credits include Black Mirror and Glue (on television) and films like Great Expectations and Pride. Her last film appearance was in the 2018 film Benjamin.
