
Chad and Carey Hayes, part of the writing team of the Conjuring franchise, is set to take the director's chair for an upcoming film titled Train that will star Frances O’Connor, reports Variety. The film brings the Hayes brothers back together with O’Connor following their collaboration on The Conjuring 2, which features the actor in the role of Peggy Hodgson. Michelle Krumm and Blake Northfield are producing the film under their Bronte Studios banner, known for Beast of War, which recently made its world premiere at the Melbourne International Film Festival.
“We’re thrilled to be making our directorial debut with Train in partnership with the incredible team at Bronte Studios,” stated the Hayes brothers. “After years of writing, developing, and living inside the industry, we’re excited to finally put all that experience behind the camera. This story has everything we love about our genre and can’t wait to bring this one to life.”
On the other hand, producers Northfield and Krumm said, "The Hayes brothers are known worldwide as the creators of some of the most successful horror films in history; now it’s their turn to direct. We are beyond thrilled to be producing their directorial debut and incredibly excited to have Frances O’Connor.”
The actor is also known for her work in the series The Missing and Stephen Spielberg's AI Artificial Intelligence. The makers are expected to announce the rest of the cast and details about principal photography soon.
