
Putting all the buzz around Lady Gaga's entry into the much-awaited Wednesday season 2: Part 2 to rest, the makers have officially announced that the noted singer will play Rosaline Rotwood in the upcoming season. The poster released by Wednesday series' official page on Instagram a day before its release, showed Lady Gaga with silver hair, white attire and pale skin with Thing perched on her left shoulder. "A vision in venom," wrote the makers describing her character.
Who is Rosaline Rotwood?
The singer and actress' character Rosaline Rotwood will join as a teacher in Nevermore Academy in ths second half of Wednesday season 2. Her role was previously described by Netflix as a “mysterious and enigmatic" character who is a legendary teacher who crosses paths with Wednesday (Jenna Ortega).
Along with the second part of the series, her upcoming single 'The Dead Dance' will also be released as part of the show.
Before Lady Gaga, the team had also made a surprise announcement on Gwendoline Christie's return to the show as Principal Weems, not as a living entity but as Wednesday's spirit guide who is only visible to her eyes.
Slated for release on September 3, nearly a month after the first part's release, season 2's cast includes Emma Myers as Enid Sinclair, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams, Joy Sunday as Bianca Barclay, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester Addams, Joanna Lumley as Grandmama Hester Frump, Steve Buscemi as Barry Dort, Christopher Lloyd as Professor Orloff, and Evie Templeton as Agnes DeMille, among others. The first set of episodes was released on August 6.
