Hollywood star Chris Evans and his wife, Portuguese actor Alba Baptista, have welcomed their first child together, a baby girl named Alma Grace Baptista Evans. As reported by TMZ, the couple’s daughter was born on October 24, 2025, in Massachusetts, marking a new chapter for the pair two years after their intimate wedding ceremonies in 2023.

While the couple never made a public pregnancy announcement, speculation had been swirling for months. Earlier this year, Alba’s father, Luiz Baptista, fuelled rumours when he left a telling comment on a Father’s Day fan post dedicated to the couple’s dads, writing, “Many thanks, dear Chris. Your turn is coming!”

Evans, 43, has always been vocal about his wish to start a family. When People magazine crowned him “Sexiest Man Alive” in 2022, the actor shared that building a home and having children was something he deeply looked forward to. “That’s absolutely something I want: a wife, kids, building a family,” he said at the time.

Known for keeping their relationship largely out of the public eye, Evans and Baptista have carefully guarded their privacy since the early days of their romance. The two first sparked dating rumours in late 2022 after being spotted together in New York’s Central Park. A year later, they exchanged vows in two ceremonies, one held at their Boston residence and another in Portugal. Guests were reportedly asked to sign NDAs and leave their phones behind to ensure the events remained private.

Baptista, 28, began her career in Portuguese television, appearing in Jardins Proibidos, A Impostora, Filha da Lei, and A Criação. Her breakout international role came with Netflix’s Warrior Nun (2020), which catapulted her to global fame. She later appeared in Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris (2022) alongside Lesley Manville and Jason Isaacs. Outside acting, she is known for her humanitarian work, particularly her involvement in educational initiatives for children in Cambodia.
