Steven Knight, the creator of A Thousand Blows, revealed that the second season of the series will release on January 9, 2026. Knight is also the creator of Peaky Blinders amongst other things.
Knight confirmed the news in an interview with GQ, while speaking about the upcoming second season. Starring Erin Doherty, Malachi Kirby, and Stephen Graham in the lead, the first season of the series followed the story of an all-female crime syndicate, led by Eliza Moody (Doherty), who clash with Henry "Sugar" Goodson (Graham), a boxer and the "king" of London's East End. Meanwhile, a Jamaican immigrant, Hezekiah Moscow (Malachi Kirby), gets caught in between the clash.
Graham, Doherty, and Ashley Walters, who also is a part of A Thousand Blows, went on to star in Adoloscence, for which Graham and Doherty received Emmys for their performances, with Walters receiving a nomination.
Season One of A Thousand Blows is currently streaming on JioHotstar. The second season will also consist of six episodes, similar to the first season.
Meanwhile, Knight will be creating and writing a sequel series to Peaky Blinders. Set in 1953, the sequel will focus on a new generation of the gangster family from the original, the Shelbys. The Immortal Man, a film from the Peaky Blinders universe is also set to be released in 2026, from a script by Knight. Star of the original Cillian Murphy reprises his role as Tommy Shelby for the film.
