

Stratagem, an upcoming espionage action thriller, is all set to star Michael C Hall, alongside Noomi Rapace and Teo Yoo in lead roles.
Novelist-turned-filmmaker Michael Idov, known for The Humorist and Jetlag, is set to direct the film. The writers of the German spy series hit Deutschland 89, and the recent Yoo headliner Leto, Michael and Lily Ido are penning the script for Stratagem.
Set in the Swiss Alps, Stratagem will see CIA agent Stella Turner (Rapace) go undercover to seduce tech prodigy Daniel Sim (Yoo), who may hold the key to preventing a massive leak of US defence secrets. But as their cat-and-mouse game intensifies, Stella realises Daniel's true intentions, and their deception game turns into a battle of wits, desire, and survival.
Oscar nominee David Lancaster, known for Whiplash and Drive, and Matt Leipzig of Joyland fame are producers of the film, which is set to go on floors in the beginning of 2026. Executive producers of the project are Arianne Fraser and Delphine Perrier for Highland Film Group and Julie Kroll.
Michael C Hall is renowned for his iconic roles as Dexter Morgan in Dexter and David Fisher in Six Feet Under, earning numerous awards and nominations, including a Golden Globe and multiple Emmys. He's reprised his iconic role in Dexter: New Blood and other spin-offs and appeared in films like Cold in July and Mark Felt: The Man Who Brought Down the White House.
Noomi Rapace recently had the world premiere of her film, Mother, in the Orizzonti section of the 82nd Venice International Film Festival on 27 August 2025. She starred as Mother Teresa in the film. In the pipeline, she has The End of It and a thriller titled Reckoner. Teo Yoo, on the other hand, known for Past Lives, has Karoshi coming up on the film front. He was recently cast as a series regular in the second season of Prime Video's The Recruit.
