Amazon MGM Studios continues to build a formidable ensemble cast for its upcoming comedy, recently titled Judgment Day, which hails from filmmaker Nicholas Stoller. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the latest additions to the project include Saturday Night Live mainstay Heidi Gardner and professional long drive golfer Bobby Ray, who join previously announced headliners Zac Efron and Will Ferrell.

The film boasts a deep bench of talent, with Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Michael Pena, Jimmy Tatro, Bill Camp, Fortune Feimster, Billy Eichner, Rachel Hilson, Tyler Lofton, Bobby Cannavale, Regina Hall, and Rory Scovel already on board.

Judgment Day centres on a recently released convict (Efron) who stages an unexpected hostage situation within an unscripted television courtroom. His target: the self-absorbed judge (Ferrell) whom he holds responsible for the verdict that led to his incarceration. Details surrounding the specific roles of Gardner and Ray remain under wraps for the previously untitled production. The makers are also yet to disclose the film's release date.

The project marks a reunion between Stoller and Amazon MGM Studios, following their collaboration on You’re Cordially Invited, a film starring Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon that debuted on Prime Video earlier this year. Producing Judgment Day are Ferrell, Alex Brown, and Jessica Elbaum under their banner Gloria Sanchez Productions, alongside Stoller through Stoller Global Solutions.

Gardner is wrapping up her eighth season on the iconic sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live and also features in the finale of Netflix’s series You. Her previous credits include Apple TV+'s Shrinking, the Netflix films Otherhood" and Hustle, and voice work in animated features such as Leo and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.

Ray, currently ranked tenth globally in long drive, is also recognised for his golf-centric broadcast appearances and YouTube content. He gained further public attention after winning the 2019 Fox dating series Paradise Hotel.
