Netflix has released the trailer for its upcoming rom-com People We Meet On Vacation. The film which has been adapted from Emily Henry's novel of the same name is set to premiere on January 9, 2026.
Brett Haley is directing the film, which follows the story of Alex (Tom Blyth) and Poppy (Emily Bader), who have been best of friends for a while, and are forced to confront the fact that they might be right for each other.
Speaking to Netflix, Haley said, "This story lives or dies on the chemistry between Alex and Poppy — and Emily and Tom’s chemistry is electric. They capture that opposites-attract dynamic in a way that feels effortless and true."
The cast of the film also includes Sarah Catherine Hook, Jameela Jamil, Lucien Laviscount, Lukas Gage, Miles Heizer, Tommy Do, Alice Lee, Alan Ruck, and Molly Shannon. Temple Hill and 3000 Pictures are the banners backing the film.
Speaking about the film author Henry said, "I’ve been kind of an anxious wreck about who would play these characters. I truly could not feel more confident that my readers and then so many more people who don’t even know about the book are going to completely fall in love with Poppy and Alex."
