Avengers: Endgame new trailer breakdown

Strap in your seats and get on the hype train as Marvel has just dropped a new Avengers: Endgame trailer completely out of the blue, and it has everything we never knew we needed!

In possibly one of the most beautiful trailers we have seen from Marvel, they use black and white shots as they gently take us through the timeline - Iron Man as he escapes the desert, Captain America measuring himself up before he signs up for the super soldier project, Thor as he stands toe-to-toe with Odin.

"Gosh it seems like a thousand years ago," begins Tony as he reminds us of his promise to Pepper - "I knew I promised no more surprises!" If that doesn't give you the whiff of nostalgia, the next shot sure will, as we hear the final words of the lady who was promised a dance by Captain America - Peggy Carter. "The world has changed and none of us can go back. All we can do is our best, and sometimes the best that we can do is to start over." He wasn't ready then and don't think Rogers is ready now. But he wasn't the only one who has lost everything in this changed world. We get a shot of Hawkeye training his daughter in archery (a Kate Bishop easter egg, maybe) but it seems the snap has robbed him of not just her, but also his entire family.

Set to the rousing Avengers score, we get a fantastic grey shot of all those who have gone (but not forgotten) with a tinge of red - mayhaps a pointer to the blood that is on the hands of Thanos or mayhaps a pointer to the reality stone at play.

Captain tells Black Widow that he still offers hope to everyone by asking them to move on, but he laughs at his own hypocrisy and tells that is only for the others. "Not us," he states as Bruce Banner looks on. The next is a shot of Scott Lang/Ant-Man looking at his own missing poster puzzlingly as we get the first hint of a solution at hand with a Widow voiceover saying, "Even if there is a small chance we owe this to everyone, to try." And try they do as Hawk-eye runs from an explosion and Rocket finding a new perch from which to shoot (Spoiler! It is War Machine replacing Groot)

With each hero saying, "We will do whatever it takes!" in their own voice and a glimpse into the potential final battle with Captain, Nebula, and Ant-Man all on the same battleground, we can for sure say that the hype is well and truly here! The money shot of Captain, Nebula, Hawkeye (or should we call him Ronin now), Ant-Man, Tony (HE MAKES IT BACK IN ONE PIECE! HOW?), War Machine all walk wearing identical suits. If you remember carefully, this is the same suit that Hope Van Dyne/Wasp was wearing when she came out of the quantum realm. Or it could be a space suit of a completely different type thanks to Captain Marvel too. But I would put my money on the former.

Oh and if you are not convinced, well the stinger with Thor giving Captain Marvel his patriarchial approval should well and truly do it.

PS: Let me remind you that not one shot of Thanos was shown in the entire trailer.
