Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, who recently got engaged to art gallerist Nicholai Sachdev, will be next seen in a thriller-drama titled Sabari. The makers of the film released their first single, ‘Naa Cheyye Pattukove', on Sunday. Gopi Sundar has composed the soundtrack for the film.

Sung by Amrutha Suresh, ‘Naa Cheyye Pattukove’ is an upbeat song that captures the warmth and comfort of a mother-daughter relationship, which lies at the core of Sabari’s narrative. Rahman has penned the song lyrics.

The makers of Sabari released their trailer on April 12. The film, which promises to tell the story of a mother (Varalaxmi) who is on a quest to find her missing daughter Riya against all barriers and societal prejudices, is directed by Anil Katz. Actors like Ganesh Venkatraman, Shashank, Mime Gopi, Sunaina, Rajashri Nair, Bhadram, Phani, Krishna Teja, Prabhu, Archana Ananth, and Keshav Deepak comprise the supporting cast of the film.

The cinematography is by Rahul Shrivatsav and Nani Chamidisetty. Dharmendra Karakala is the editor, and Ashish Teja Pulala is the art director. Produced by Mahendra Nath Kondla under the banner of Maha Movies, Sabari is slated for a theatrical release on May 3.
