The teaser of Hit 2, the upcoming Telugu sequel of Hit: The First Case, will release on Wednesday (November 2), the makers announced on social media on Monday.
The film will release on December 2.
The film stars Adivi Sesh in the lead role. Written and directed by Sailesh Kolanu, the sequel is set in Andhra Pradesh and has Adivi playing Krishna Dev aka KD. The film was shot extensively in Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad. It has Meenakshi Chaudhary playing the female lead.
The teaser shows director Sailesh introducing us to the world of Hit. Stating how Homicide Intervention Team (HIT) is a fictional department he created across India and where different officers take charge.
The first part starred Vishwak Sen and Ruhani Sharma in the lead roles, and depicted the story of a cop named Vikram Rudraraju, who suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and the pressures at work give him repeated panic attacks.
Sailesh also mentioned how many asked him the reason to replace Vishwak with Adivi, but clarified that just like how Captain America and Hulk can co-exist within the same universe, these are just characters set within the same universe, who will have varied scopes. In the sequel, Adivi’s KD will be the central character. The director also tips off the audience that one has to watch Hit before watching Hit 2 to enjoy the sequel more. He also hinted “interested connections” between the two films.
Sailesh also hints the possibilities of a third Hit installment.
