Nani’s The Paradise is releasing on September 24, Thursday. Produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under the SLV Cinemas banner, the film from director Srikanth Odela features Kayadu Lohar as the female lead. She talked about her character and revealed that she plays Subbulakshmi in the film. “Everyone calls me Subbu, and there are a lot of surprises in the film that you will see on the big screen,” said Kayadu about her role.
“I play Jadal’s love interest in his journey, but I also have a journey of my own. It is going to be very different,” said Kayadu. She added that her character has a lot of scope in terms of performance and is very important to the story. “I don’t want to reveal too much about Subbu’s character at this point. It is very different from all the characters I have played so far. Being part of such a big project with Nani, Srikanth and Anirudh has been a great experience,” said Kayadu.
The actress said that director Srikanth Odela approached her after watching her Tamil film Dragon. “He believed that I could pull off this character and then narrated the story to me. Later, I went through a look test and was selected. This is a very big project in my career,” she added.
Talking about her co-star Nani, she said that he appears with the dreadlocks hairstyle in this film. “Acting and performing with that look is not easy. However, Nani garu played the character with great confidence and was wonderful. He worked extremely hard for this film,” said Kayadu. She further added that Nani is a very sweet and humble person. “His journey is very inspiring, and I learnt many things from him. Working with him was a very happy experience,” said the actress.
Talking about her dream role, she said that she wants to do action films. “I want to do action films and sports films. I would also like to do a biopic if I get the opportunity,” Kayadu Lohar added.
Kayadu is currently busy with Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam films. When asked which industry she likes the most, she said, “All of them.” “I have received a lot of love from every industry, and I feel very lucky in that regard. I am happy to get opportunities to work across different industries and receive the love of audiences everywhere,” she said.
Kayadu said that she is completely focused on acting and has no plans to venture into direction or production. “For now, my entire focus is on acting,” she said.
Talking about her upcoming projects, she said that she is working on a couple of films. “I am working on a film with Suriya garu and also working with Mari Selvaraj garu in another film,” she said.
