Chiranjeevi and director Bobby Kolli are teaming up again for their upcoming film Kaaka, after their earlier successful collaboration Waltair Veerayya. The glimpse from the film, which was unveiled on the occasion of Chiranjeevi’s birthday, created good buzz around the project. Kaaka is set to hit the screens during the Sankranthi festival in 2027. K Venkata Narayana is producing the film under his KVN Productions banner.
Kaaka is touted to be an action entertainer, and the glimpse has already generated significant hype around the film. The makers have announced that the film is being mounted on a lavish scale with a strong mix of action, emotion, and family elements.
Now, the latest update has further heightened interest around the project, as Chiranjeevi revealed the name of his character at a recent event. The actor will be seen as Kadiri Kalidas in Kaaka. It is a powerful and striking name that itself hints at the commanding presence of his character in the film.
While Kaaka is designed as a high-intensity action entertainer, the film will also feature a strong emotional and family-oriented narrative, making the protagonist’s character arc one of the key attractions.
Anaswara Rajan is part of the cast in a pivotal role and is reportedly playing Chiranjeevi’s daughter. The film features music by S Thaman, cinematography by Vijay Karthik Kannan, production design by Avinash Kolla, and editing by Antony L Ruben.
Kona Venkat and K Chakravarthy Reddy have penned the screenplay, with additional writing by Hari Mohana Krishna and Vineeth Potluri. Bhanu-Nandu has penned the dialogues.
Kaaka is gearing up for a grand theatrical release on January 13, 2027, targeting the Sankranthi festive season.
