Malayalam actor Anaswara Rajan is now the talk of the town in Telugu cinema. Her first Telugu film, Champion, was released last December and she received a lot of appreciation for her performance. She is now busy with multiple projects, including Itlu Arjuna, Antha Ramuloru Choosukuntaru, and the much-awaited Kaaka. In the latter, she is sharing screen space with none other than Chiranjeevi.
With three films lined up for release, the actor said she signed these projects with the belief that they would work well. Speaking at the teaser launch event of Itlu Arjuna, Anaswara said, “Actually, I signed my first Telugu film, Itlu Arjuna. Working in this film and with these people makes me feel like I should do more Telugu films,” said Anaswara.
She added that the team made her feel at home in the new city and industry. “They always make me feel like this is my home and this is my industry. I am always grateful to them,” she said. Talking about her character Keerthy in Itlu Arjuna, she said that she enjoyed playing the role. “I enjoyed the Keerthy character because it has energy, innocence, and happiness. I am confident that you all will like Keerthy, and I hope you are going to enjoy the character and fall in love with Keerthy and Arjuna,” she said.
When asked about choosing her upcoming projects, the actor said she did not sign them just for the sake of doing films. “I am doing it with the proper idea that these films might work, and I didn’t sign these films just like that. When I look back, I would be happy about these films, and I think I will be proud of everything that I have worked on. I am not doing it for chumma,” she said.
She added that she prefers signing films where her character has prominence. “I signed films where the character plays a major role. In Itlu Arjuna, though Arjuna is more of a silent character, there is so much talk in his silence. That’s one of the reasons I signed this film,” she said.
Talking about her co-star Aniesh, Anaswara said that he is a hardworking actor. “He is such a hardworking guy, and it is daring to do something like a mute film for his debut. I should appreciate him, and I think he is wonderful. We can talk more about it after the release,” said Anaswara.
