The team of The Paradise, starring Nani, held a press conference in Hyderabad on Friday evening. The film is all set to hit the screens on September 24, and just a few days ahead of its release, the team interacted with the media for the first time. Director Srikanth Odela, producer Sudhakar Cherukuri and lead actor Nani attended the press meet.
At the event, Nani clarified that there will be no trailer for The Paradise. “We don’t have time to cut a trailer because it takes nearly four to five days for director Srikanth and music director Anirudh to come up with a good trailer. We are working to give a quality film, so we decided not to release a trailer,” said Nani in response to a question.
There has been a lot of speculation about the film on social media, and Nani clarified that not everything being reported is true. “There are different kinds of news spreading on social media, but there is no underwater action sequence in the film, and there is also no action sequence involving 1,000 artistes. It’s a genuine story with several action blocks and some high moments. The audience will feel the emotion in the violence,” said Nani.
Nani also said that The Paradise is the first film in his career for which he worked extremely hard. Responding to criticism that the dialogues in the previously released promotional material could not be heard clearly, he explained the reason behind it.
“Even I noticed it, as some of my friends told me that they couldn’t hear the dialogues. Sometimes, if we deliver the dialogues too clearly, the soul of the character will be lost. For this character, I have to speak like that, and when you watch the film, you will understand every dialogue. There is one scene in the film where I shouted very loudly, and after dubbing that scene, I lost my voice. In my entire career, I worked very hard for The Paradise, and I put my soul into this film,” said Nani.
For another question, Nani said that The Paradise is a complete Telugu film and that the team does not want to label it as a Pan-India film.
“We don’t want to call it a Pan-India film. It is a complete Telugu film, and our main focus is on Telugu. We are also releasing it in other languages, and I hope audiences in those languages enjoy the film,” said Nani. He added that he does not have any clear plans yet regarding promotions in other cities and languages.
Nani also revealed that the core of the film is the relationship between a mother and her son. “If you look at the earlier promotional videos, you may think that the film is going to be about violence from start to finish, but there is an emotional story. The Paradise is a beautiful mother-and-son story,” said Nani.
Director Srikanth Odela confirmed that the runtime of the film is 2 hours and 49 minutes. Speaking about Keerthy Suresh’s special song, the director revealed that he personally approached the actress and she immediately agreed to be part of it.
“I called Keerthy and told her about the special song. I was looking for a few actors, and she said she would do it, so we immediately roped her in,” said Srikanth Odela.
