Trivikram Srinivas is directing senior actor Venkatesh for the first time in their upcoming film Adarsha Kutumbam – House No. 47 (AK47). Suryadevara Radha Krishna is producing the film under the Haarika and Hassine Creations banner. Shrinidhi Shetty is playing the female lead, while actors including Nara Rohith, Rao Ramesh, Sachin Khedekar, Brahmaji, Raghu Babu and comedian Satya are playing key roles.

The makers had announced October 2 as the film’s release date, but according to reliable sources, the film is unlikely to hit the screens on the announced date. Though the makers are yet to make an official announcement, they have reportedly informed several other filmmakers that they are planning to postpone the film by at least two weeks.

With this new development, AK47 may hit the screens on October 16, keeping the Dasara holidays in mind. Dasara falls on October 20 this year, and there are reportedly no other major releases around that time, making it a suitable window for the film.

Trivikram Srinivas has previously worked with Venkatesh as a writer for a few films, but AK47 marks their first collaboration as a director and actor. There are also speculations that the film’s backdrop is similar to that of Arjun Sarja’s Tamil film Blast. In Blast, the story revolves around a family played by Arjun Sarja, Abhirami and Preity Mukhundhan. They appear to lead a normal life, but when it comes to protecting themselves, they reveal their true identities as trained karate experts who take on the villains.

According to the source, the story of the Trivikram-Venkatesh film also follows similar lines. The family appears to lead a normal life, but they are said to be involved in some unusual activities at night. This is reportedly the reason behind the title Adarsha Kutumbam, with the family appearing respectable on the outside while doing something completely different in the background.

The shooting of the film is also still pending. The director reportedly wanted to complete the remaining shoot in September, leaving little time for post-production. This is said to be another reason behind the decision to postpone the release by two weeks. An official announcement regarding the new release date is expected in the next few days.

Meanwhile, several other Telugu films have now occupied the October 2 release date. Thella Kaagitham, starring Harsh Roshan, has announced its release for October 2. Fahadh Faasil’s Don’t Trouble the Trouble, which was earlier expected to release in September, is also now slated to hit the screens on October 2. With several films adjusting their release dates, it appears that the postponement of the Trivikram and Venkatesh combination film is almost certain.
