After producing the hit Court: State vs A Nobody, actor Nani is backing another film, this time starring Nithiin. Titled Alias Rukmini, the film is directed by Murali Kanth D, who made his directorial debut with Dhandoraa. Nani’s sister, Deepthi Ganta, is producing the film under their Unanimous Productions banner.
The film is scheduled to hit theatres on December 4. Ahead of its release, the makers are gearing up to kick-start the promotions with the first single.
Aafia Sayed plays the female lead, marking her Telugu debut. She previously acted in a Hindi film titled Prem Keetanu. A few days ago, the makers unveiled her first look in a video in which she was seen playing a teacher. Now, they have announced that the film’s first song, 'Rukku Rukku Rukmini,' will be released on October 27.
The makers also released a poster announcing the song, featuring Nithiin and Aafia Sayed as the lead pair.
Nani, who continues to be busy with his acting commitments, is backing the project as a producer. Known for supporting content-driven films, he is now joining hands with Nithiin for this project, raising interest in what the team has in store for audiences.
Murali Kanth D received appreciation for his directorial debut, Dhandoraa, which also won recognition at the Telangana government's Gaddar Film Awards. With Alias Rukmini, he is now directing his second film, with Nani backing the project as producer.
On the technical front, Jomon T John handles the cinematography, while Vijay Bulganin composes the music. Avinash Kolla is the production designer, and Adusumilli Srujana is the editor. Apart from the lead pair, Saikumar and Harshavardhan play key roles in the film.
