The makers of Dulquer Salmaan's next film, directed by Pavan Sadineni and written by Gunnam Gangaraju, shared a teaser for it on Saturday. The Aakasamlo Oka Tara teaser hints at an inspirational film, where Dulquer Salmaan's character, Krishna, motivates a young woman (Satvika Veeravalli) to realise her ambition. From the mention of aiming for the sky and the visuals of rockets in the teaser, it appears that she wants to become an astronaut.
In the Aakasamlo Oka Tara teaser, Krishna can be seen encouraging the woman to set high goals for herself, essentially telling her 'let the sky be your limit'. The teaser also shows the woman facing restrictions from her parents in her younger days for education, in spite of her academic excellence, before they force her to marry Krishna.
Produced by Sandeep Gunnam and Ramya Gunnam under the banner of Geetha Arts, in association with Swapna Cinema and Lightbox Media, the upcoming film also stars Shruti Haasan.
On the technical front, it has music by GV Prakash. Recently, Dulquer said that GV Prakash has "created magic" in terms of music for their film, as well as for the actor's 41st film Sri Sri, co-starring Pooja Hegde. On Saturday, GV Prakash shared a link to the Aakasamlo Oka Tara teaser and wrote, "A beautiful classic cinema is on its way …… all cinema lovers get ready for this." Meanwhile, Dulquer called the trailer "A little glimpse into a beautiful world."
The upcoming film brings Dulquer and GV Prakash back together after their collaboration on 2024's Lucky Baskhar, directed by Venky Atluri. It is written by Gunnam Gangaraju from a story by director Pavan Sadineni himself and Vasanth Jurru, who is also credited as an additional screenplay writer.
On the technical front, Aakasamlo Oka Tara also has cinematographer Sujith Sarang, editor Praveen KL, production designer Shwetha Sabu Cyril, art director Vamsi Krishna, and costume designer Pallavi Singh. The film is slated for a November 20 release in theatres.
