

The Telangana State Government on Saturday announced the prestigious Gaddar Film Awards for the year 2025. The awards considered feature films and short films released between January 1, 2025 and December 31, 2025, which were also certified by the Censor Board.
The Best Film award went to Raju Weds Rambai, which is based on a true incident. The film’s director Saailu Kampati won the Best Director award.
The Best Actor award was won by Naga Chaitanya for his impressive performance in Thandel. Rashmika Mandanna won the Best Actress award for her performance in The Girlfriend, directed by Rahul Ravindran.
Actor Sivaji won the Best Supporting Actor award for his role in Dhandoraa. Interestingly, Dhandoraa, directed by debutant Muralikanth D, also won the Second Best Feature Film award. Another small film, Little Hearts, won the Third Best Feature Film award. Bhumika Chawla won the Best Supporting Actress award for her performance in Euphoria, directed by Gunasekhar.
Among the special awards, Chiranjeevi received the NTR National Film Award, while the Paidi Jairaj Award went to Kamal Haasan. The B N Reddy Film Award was presented to veteran director Singeetham Srinivasa Rao, and producer Ashwini Dutt received the Nagireddy–Chakrapani Film Award.
Actor, director, and producer R Narayanamurthy received the T L Kantha Rao Film Award, while the prestigious Raghupathi Venkaiah Film Award went to Ramesh Prasad for his contribution to Telugu cinema.
Popular lyricist Suddala Ashok Teja won the Dr C Narayana Reddy Film Award, while the Akkineni Nageswara Rao Award was presented to senior actress Jayasudha.
The Telangana Government will present these awards at a special ceremony scheduled to be held on March 19, coinciding with the Telugu New Year festival, Ugadi.
