Development on the sequel to the Pawan Kalyan-starrer They Call Him OG (2025) have begun, announced Pawan Kalyan Creative Works. While Sujeeth is on board to write and direct the sequel, tentatively titled OG 2, with Thaman returning to compose music.
"As promised by Pawan Kalyan, OG Universe discussions have begun with Sujeeth at Creative Works," announced Pawan Kalyan Creative Works on social media. They Call Him OG (2025) and the upcoming OG 2 belong to a shared universe which also includes Saaho (2018).
Arjun Das, who was part of They Call Him OG (2025) also shared the photo on X, and wrote, "Alaantodu Malli Tirigi Vastunnadu Ante (When a guy like that returns...)."
In They Call Him OG (2025), Pawan Kalyan portrayed Ojas Ghambeera, a former gangster who returns to Bombay to bring down the powerful crime-lord Omi (Emraan Hashmi). CE's review of the film reads, "Pawan Kalyan brings a few fleeting quirks in the way he cocks a gun, shouts his name mid-fight like Tony Montana, and tosses out a Haiku at the sneering but futile Omi Bhau. You glimpse at the possibility of a delightful, eccentric gangster persona."
