Actor Allu Arjun has been directed to appear before Hyderabad’s Nampally Court on June 22 in connection with the Sandhya Theatre stampede case linked to a special screening of Pushpa 2.
According to reports, the court issued summons to multiple individuals named in the matter, with the actor being listed as Accused No. 11. The management of Sandhya Theatre has reportedly been named as Accused Nos. 1 to 10. While summons have been issued to 19 people, police have already submitted a charge sheet naming 23 accused.
Confirming the development, Allu Arjun’s legal team stated, “Nampally Court has issued summons to actor Allu Arjun to appear in person before the court on Monday for a hearing. We will give more details later about the matter.”
The case stems from the December 4, 2024 stampede that occurred during a special screening of Pushpa 2 at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad. The incident claimed the life of Revathi and left her son, Sri Teja, with severe injuries.
Sri Teja had sustained injuries during the theatre crowding incident and was admitted in a semi-conscious state. His condition later became more serious, with reports indicating respiratory complications and neurological damage that required prolonged ventilator support. After spending close to five months under intensive medical care, he was discharged in April 2025 and shifted to a rehabilitation facility in Ramgopalpet for ongoing treatment.
Even as legal proceedings continue, members of the Allu family recently visited Sri Teja and his family. Producer Allu Aravind and Allu Arjun’s wife Sneha Reddy reportedly spent time with them, enquired about the child’s recovery and assured continued assistance. Reports also claimed that Allu Aravind extended support towards the education of Sri Teja’s younger sister and told the family that he would take care of her educational expenses.
The family has reportedly continued to receive support for Sri Teja’s treatment, with assistance said to be coming from both the Allu family and the production banner associated with Pushpa. Visuals from the visit later surfaced through a fan account on social media.
