A political drama titled Queen is currently under production, and the makers have announced a major update. Senior actor Ramya Krishna has been roped in for a pivotal role in the film, which is being directed by Rathan Rishi. She will be seen as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Lakshmi Pranathi.

According to the makers, Queen is a fictional story inspired by real-life incidents. Set between 2006 and 2010, the film is currently being shot. Announcing Ramya Krishna's inclusion, the team said she will play a very powerful character. Queen also marks the acting debut of popular social media influencer ER Yamini as the female lead. The film is being produced under the One Circle Films banner.

The makers said Ramya Krishna's character, Lakshmi Pranathi, will be one of the major highlights of the film. With her commanding screen presence and exceptional acting skills, the veteran actress is expected to impress audiences in this powerful political role.

Interestingly, this is not the first time Ramya Krishna has played a Chief Minister. She earlier portrayed the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister in the web series Queen, which was inspired by the life of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. Now, she is all set to play the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister in this political drama.

Inspired by real-life incidents and personalities while presenting a fictional narrative, Queen is set between 2006 and 2010. Along with its political backdrop, the film also features an engaging love story that reflects contemporary social issues, promising a unique cinematic experience.

The film also stars dialogue king Sai Kumar as the heroine's father, while Ajay Ghosh and Kalakeya Prabhakar play the antagonists. Tanikella Bharani, Naveen Bethiganti and several other notable actors are part of the ensemble cast.

The makers welcomed Ramya Krishna to the team and expressed confidence that her addition will further strengthen the film. The regular shoot of Queen is currently progressing at a brisk pace.
