Chiranjeevi’s Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu achieves break even within 6 days
With nearly five Telugu films released during the Sankranthi festival, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu has clearly emerged as the undisputed leader at the box office. From the moment it hit the screens, the film has shown complete domination, pulling huge festive crowds and maintaining extraordinary momentum even six days into its theatrical run.
Chiranjeevi’s unmatched appeal among family audiences, combined with Anil Ravipudi’s trademark humour-driven storytelling, has worked wonders. The special appearance by Victory Venkatesh and Nayanthara’s strong presence as the female lead have further elevated the film’s appeal, creating a festive theatrical atmosphere that is rarely witnessed in recent times.
In a remarkable achievement, the film reached breakeven across all territories—both domestic and overseas — within just six days of its release. With a staggering worldwide gross of over ₹261 crore already on the board, the film is now confidently marching towards the ₹300 crore milestone. Adding to its box-office dominance, the movie has sold 2.81 million tickets in just six days, surpassing the lifetime ticket sales of They Call Him OG, which stood at 2.78 million.
The film has also created records in the Telugu states, emerging as the second-highest share-collecting film on the day 6 of all time in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana with a share of ₹13.85 crore. The top position is currently held by Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, also directed by Anil Ravipudi, which recorded a ₹14.05 crore share. Earlier during its run, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu shattered RRR’s long-standing industry record to become the highest-grossing film on Day 5.
The overseas performance has been equally phenomenal. In North America, the film has already crossed the $2.6 million mark, becoming Chiranjeevi’s highest-grossing film in the region, overtaking his previous best, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. The film is now racing towards the $3 million milestone, which would also make it the biggest overseas grosser in director Anil Ravipudi’s career.
More than just a Sankranthi success, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu is steadily shaping up as an industry hit. Once again, Chiranjeevi has proven why he continues to reign supreme as the ultimate crowd-pulling star of Telugu cinema.
