Actor Sharwanand is clearly in a celebratory mood, with his latest release Nari Nari Naduma Murari performing well at the box office. The film, which hit the screens on January 14, has been receiving positive reviews and strong word of mouth, emerging as one of the notable entertainers of the Sankranthi season. Directed by Ram Abbaraju and produced by Anil Sunkara, the film seems to have given the actor the much-needed breather he had been waiting for.

Speaking at the success meet held in Hyderabad, Sharwanand showered praise on the entire team and reflected on his confidence in the film right from the start. “From the very first day of the shoot, I told my producer that this film would become a big hit. I didn’t say it out of arrogance, but with humility, because the story was genuinely strong,” he said. The actor added that the film’s success was not restricted to the festival release. “It released during Sankranthi, so the collections are higher, but even if it had released at any other time, the film would still have succeeded,” he said.

Sharwanand went on to praise director Ram Abbaraju, describing him as a filmmaker who understands the producer’s perspective. “The industry needs directors like Ram. He knows how to control the budget, and whatever he writes on paper is what you see on screen. Budget discipline lies with the director, producer and lead actor, and I’ve already discussed this with a few producers,” Sharwanand noted.

Admitting that he had been waiting for a hit for a long time, Sharwanand said Nari Nari Naduma Murari arrived at the right moment in his career. “Ram finally gave me this success, and he was strongly supported by Bhanu Bhogavarapu and Nandu, who provided the story and dialogues. I can safely call them the three musketeers,” he said with a smile.

The actor also had warm words for producer Anil Sunkara, whom he described as a constant pillar of support. “Anil is like an elder brother to me. Anyone in the industry will tell you what a good human being he is. When our earlier film Mahasamudram didn’t work, I was disappointed, but Anil told me that failure is a team responsibility and not to blame myself alone. That’s the kind of person he is,” Sharwanand said.

Talking about his co-stars, Sharwanand praised Samyuktha, calling her a ‘golden leg’. He also appreciated Sakshi Vaidya’s commitment to the role. “She made sure she understood the meaning of every Telugu dialogue before coming to the shoot,” he said.

Towards the end of the interaction, Sharwanand made a major announcement about his next project. “I don’t know if I’m allowed to reveal this yet, but my next film will be directed by Sreenu Vaitla and produced by Mythri Movie Makers. We are planning to release it next Sankranthi,” he revealed, drawing cheers from the audience.

Ending on a lighter note, Sharwanand joked about his association with the festival season. “Whenever my films release during Sankranthi, the other films also end up doing well. So next time, please give space to my film — it might bring luck to yours too,” he said, leaving everyone laughing.
