The pre-release event of Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, starring Chiranjeevi and directed by Anil Ravipudi, was held in Hyderabad on Wednesday night. Venkatesh, who plays a key role in the film, attended the event alongside Chiranjeevi, and the occasion turned into a celebration of their on-screen camaraderie and off-screen bond.
Addressing the gathering, Chiranjeevi said that while Venkatesh has a limited role in the film, he is keen on doing a full-fledged project with him in the future. Speaking warmly about his co-star, Chiranjeevi said working with Venkatesh was a joyful experience. “On the sets, we were like school students, always filled with fun and laughter. Venkatesh is highly philosophical and balances his professional and personal life beautifully. He often speaks with a maturity beyond his age, and at times, I felt he was like a modern-day guru to me,” Chiranjeevi remarked.
The actor also expressed his gratitude to Venkatesh for agreeing to be part of the film. Recalling how the idea of working together took shape, Chiranjeevi said it all began five years ago in Los Angeles, when the two posed for a photograph together. “That was when we first spoke about doing a film together. That thought has now materialised in Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu. However, we both feel this shouldn’t stop here,” he said.
Turning to director Anil Ravipudi, Chiranjeevi made a public request, saying, “Anil, I’m giving this responsibility to you. Write a story for a full-fledged film featuring Venkatesh and me, and come back to us. Let’s once again put in our hard work and deliver something special together.”
Chiranjeevi also took a moment to extend his best wishes to all the films releasing during the festive season. Emphasising the importance of collective success, he said, “Success should not be individual. When all films perform well, the industry benefits as a whole. This Sankranthi has several family entertainers lined up, making it a perfect festive season for cinema. I appeal to everyone to make this Sankranthi memorable for the Telugu film industry.”
