Producer Dil Raju, who recently returned to India after spending the New Year holidays abroad, attended the Shambhala thanks meet held on Tuesday. On the occasion, he made an interesting remark about Bommarillu, the classic film he produced nearly two decades ago. Dil Raju also congratulated director Ugandhar and the producers for the film’s success.
“Among the five films released during Christmas, Shambhala standing out as a success is truly commendable. I was abroad last month, but I closely followed all the releases, and everywhere I heard that Shambhala was a 100 percent success,” said Dil Raju. He added that the strong public response, positive word of mouth, and the film’s steady run were extremely heartening.
The producer also praised the bond between Sai Kumar and his son Aadi Saikumar. “This marks Aadi’s 25th film, and it’s wonderful that his milestone project turned out to be a success. Films like Bommarillu once brought significant changes to the industry. If Bommarillu 2 is ever made, it should be with Aadi and his father, Sai Kumar. A father’s passion for his son’s success cannot be described in words,” he said.
Dil Raju further highlighted Sai Kumar’s contribution to Shambhala. “Sai Kumar stood like a backbone for the entire team and played a key role in the film’s success. He shares a great rapport with everyone in the industry, which is truly unique.”
Recalling his first impression of the film, Dil Raju said he was confident about its success from the beginning. “The moment I watched the promo, I knew the film would succeed—and that’s exactly what happened. In today’s times, it’s not easy to impress audiences and achieve success with a single film. Shambhala has managed to do just that. My congratulations once again to the entire team.”
