Director Ritesh Rana, who has previously directed, Mathu Vadalara and Mathu Vadalara 2, has Jetlee as his next release. Satya plays the lead role, while Miss Universe India 2024, Rhea Singha, makes her acting debut as the female lead. Satya, who was part of Ritesh Rana’s earlier films, Mathu Vadalara and Mathu Vadalara 2, reunites with the director once again for Jetlee.

Produced by Chiranjeevi (Cherry), the teaser of Jetlee was released recently and it hints at a complete entertainer packed with comic dialogues and amusing situations. The makers have completed around 60 percent of the shoot and are planning to release the film this summer. Speaking about the film, Ritesh Rana said, “Most of the story takes place inside a flight, so we shot major portions of the film on a flight.”

One of the highlights of the teaser is the hilarious sequence between Satya and Vennela Kishore. When Kishore asks Satya, “Are you a hero? Tier 1, Tier 2, or Tier 3?” Satya instantly replies, “General Compartment,” drawing loud laughs. The action sequences too, are designed in a comical style, adding to the film’s fun quotient.

Rhea Singha said that Tollywood is the perfect launchpad for her film career. “When they approached me, I watched their earlier two films, which were big hits. I really liked their work and immediately agreed to do this film,” she said. When asked why she didn’t try to debut in Hindi cinema, Rhea responded, “Why not Telugu? The South film industry is growing tremendously, and filmmakers here are widely respected. I am just 21, and I felt this is the right time to step into films."

She further added that moving from pageantry to films should come from genuine passion. “It’s not compulsory that everyone from pageants should enter cinema, but you need to feel connected to acting. My first love has always been acting, and that’s why I’m here,” she said. Talking about her role, Rhea shared, “When I heard the story, I instantly fell in love with my character Shalini. She has been written beautifully. Once I heard the complete narration, there was no looking back—I signed the film immediately.”
