In a recent interview, producer Naga Vamsi deemed that the practice of budgeting has become healthy in the last year. He produces films under the Sithara Entertainments banner.

Speaking to Gulte, the producer said, "The practice has become healthier now, it has become healthier in the last 6 months/one year," when the interviewer asked if budgeting has become healthier.

When asked what a healthy proportion of budget looks like Naga Vamsi said, "If it is a big film, then 40 (percent of the budget is remuneration), 50 (percent of the budget is production), 10 ((percent of the budget is prints and advertising)." He also went to cite some examples like in Kingdom, where the making had a larger share, and in Mass Jathara, which followed the above mentioned proportion.

But the producer also mentioned that films like Mad Square and Daaku Maharaj, the proportions shifted to 50 (percent of the budget is remuneration), 50 (percent of the budget is production).

While the producer is backing several films, he is behind the Akhil Akkineni-starrer, Lenin, and Suriya's next with Venky Atluri.
