For the past few days, strong buzz surrounded director Anil Ravipudi’s next project, especially about who would share screen space with Venkatesh. Despite the director requesting restraint over rumours, speculation continued across social media and industry circles.
Putting an end to all the guessing, Anil Ravipudi took to his social media handle to officially confirm that Nandamuri Kalyan Ram will play a key role alongside Venkatesh in the film.
The announcement carries emotional significance for the director. Venkatesh and Anil Ravipudi previously worked together on F2: Fun and Frustration, its sequel F3: Fun and Frustration, and the Sankranthiki Vasthunnam.
On the other hand, Kalyan Ram holds a special place in Anil Ravipudi’s journey, as he was the one who gave the director his first opportunity in the industry.
Before the official confirmation, several names were doing the rounds. Initially, reports suggested that Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil might be part of the film, but rumours about remuneration reportedly led to him opting out. Later, speculation shifted towards Tamil star Karthi, who has prior experience in multi-starrers. However, Anil Ravipudi’s announcement has now laid all rumours to rest.
The yet-to-be-titled film is expected to go on floors in June and is being planned for a grand Sankranthi 2027 release.
Currently, Venkatesh is busy shooting for a film directed by Trivikram Srinivas. The shoot is likely to be completed by June, with a probable release during Dasara this year. Post that, Venkatesh is expected to join Anil Ravipudi’s project.
