Actor Sharwanand is riding high on the success of Nari Nari Naduma Murari, which released during Sankranthi and ended his long wait for a solid commercial hit. Now, the actor is set to surprise audiences with a drastic transformation in his next film, Bhogi. The makers of the period action drama directed by Sampath Nandi, dropped the intense first look poster featuring Sharwanand.
Produced by KK Radhamohan under the banner of Sri Sathya Sai Arts, Bhogi is being mounted on a grand scale and is touted as one of the most significant projects in the actor’s career.
On Wednesday, the makers unveiled the intense first-look poster, presenting Sharwanand in his most rugged and ferocious avatar yet. The gritty close-up shot immediately signals a fierce mass transformation. With a dark, smoky backdrop filled with embers and sparks, the poster perfectly complements the film’s powerful tagline — A Blood Fest.
For Bhogi, Sharwanand has undergone a radical makeover, embracing a bold and raw look that reflects the intensity of his character. This transformation is being described as more than just a physical change — it marks a complete reinvention of the actor’s on-screen image. Every detail in the first look hints that Sharwanand is stepping into an unapologetically intense, beast-mode character.
Director Sampath Nandi has set the film against a compelling period backdrop along the North Telangana–Maharashtra border during the late 1960s. The narrative is expected to blend strong emotions with high-octane action. Currently, the team is shooting major action sequences in Hyderabad on a massive specially erected set.
The ongoing schedule includes two large-scale action episodes choreographed by noted stunt master Dilip Subbarayan, promising adrenaline-pumping sequences that match the film’s intense tone.
The film features Anupama Parameswaran and Dimple Hayathi as the female leads, along with several well-known actors in pivotal roles.
The makers have announced that Bhogi will have a grand pan-India release on August 28, coinciding with the festive occasion of Raksha Bandhan. The film will release simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.
With a powerful first look and a promising period setting, Bhogi signals a bold new chapter in Sharwanand’s career.
