Actor Manasa Varanasi is only two films old. The actor, who made her debut with 2024's Devaki Nandana Vasudeva, has been receiving much appreciation for her performance in the film Couple Friendly, directed by Ashwin Chandrasekar and also starring Santosh Soban. Recently, Manasa cited Sai Pallavi as an inspiration.
Speaking to Gulte, the actor said, "Director Ashwin told me to watch many Sai Pallavi movies as he is a fan of her work. He wanted me to take inspiration from Sai Pallavi. Therefore, he asked me to watch any film starring her."
The film follows Mithra (Manasa) and Shiva (Santosh) who meet unexpectedly in Chennai, move into the same house and start a live-in relationship. Mithra's support helps Shiva get better at his job, even as she keeps searching for employment for her own sake. When everything starts falling into place for the couple, an unexpected incident interferes their journey.
This is not the first time Manasa Varanasi has expressed their admiration for Sai Pallavi. In a recent interview with CE, too, Manasa cited Sai Pallavi, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Rashmika Mandanna as her inspirations.
In our Couple Friendly movie review, Suresh Kavirayani wrote, "Both Santosh Soban and Manasa Varanasi deliver commendable performances, but Manasa clearly steals the show." The review further added, "She surprises with her maturity, natural expressions, and emotional depth. Her body language, dialogue delivery, and ease in portraying Mithra make her performance highly convincing."
