Small-budget films continue to find space in Tollywood, and another such film is gearing up for release. The first look of Oo Torture Prema has been unveiled recently, creating curiosity among moviegoers. The film is written and directed by Srikar Krishna.
Sunny Madala, the grandson of legendary yesteryear actor Madala Ranga Rao, plays the lead role in the film. Sunny is the son of Madala Ravi, an actor who is also well known for his association with the Movie Artistes Association. Mounika Dakoju is introduced as the female lead.
The first-look poster was unveiled by renowned writer and director Paruchuri Gopalakrishna. Speaking on the occasion, he said he was happy to see third-generation actor Sunny Madala stepping into Telugu cinema as a lead hero. He fondly recalled Madala Ranga Rao and the progressive, revolutionary films he made during his career.
“Madala Ranga Rao garu made a strong mark in Telugu cinema with films based on revolutionary subjects. Interestingly, his grandson Sunny Madala has chosen a love story for his debut, and Oo Torture Prema comes across as a refreshing and impressive love tale,” Paruchuri said.
He further added that while he has written and directed several films, he never ventured into production himself. “Young filmmaker Srikar Krishna trusted his own script and produced the film himself, much like how our legendary Dasari Narayana Rao garu used to do,” he said, wishing the team great success.
Director Srikar Krishna stated that Oo Torture Prema is a new-age love story filled with humour and emotions. He added that the film presents love in its purest form and is designed to connect strongly with today’s youth.
