Nihal Kodhaty is playing the lead role in Secret Soldier, whose trailer was unveiled on Saturday. The film was earlier titled China Piece, but the makers changed the title after the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) raised an objection. Akki Vishwanadha Reddy is directing and producing the film under his Moon Light Dreams banner. Surya Srinivas, Harshitha, Kamal Kamaraju and Raghubabu are also playing key roles.

Talking about the trailer and the film, Nihal said that many filmmakers and actors have been making sensational statements to promote their films in recent times. “These days the sensationalism has become huge, as one person is beating himself up, one person wants to leave the industry, someone else is giving a warning and another person is saying that if the film doesn’t do well, he will return the money. I have seen these kinds of comments and now I have come up with my own sensational comment. If my film becomes a hit, I will give a party to the two Telugu states, and if the film flops, at Punjagutta Circle, I will go by auto to my house and cry for two days. After that, I will work about my next film,” said Nihal Kodhaty at the trailer launch event.

He said that most filmmakers are currently opting for college backdrops, romantic entertainers or simple love stories. “So, I decided to do a different genre with Secret Soldier,” he said. The actor also revealed that the film took a long time to reach theatres. “I think we released the teaser last year, somewhere in July, but it has taken so many months for the film to come out,” said Nihal.

The actor said the film has good visuals, an interesting idea, strong emotions and performances. “Just don’t declare the film as a small film by looking at the budget. There are many good things in the film,” he said. He added that Secret Soldier is all set to hit the screens on September 18 and said he is promoting the film in every possible way to reach the audience.

Director and producer Akki Vishwanadha Reddy said that making the film has been a long but challenging journey. “At the same time, we are all excited that the film is hitting the screens on September 18. We have made a film that we can be very proud of. The quality and visuals are really superb, and I promise that this film will enthral everyone,” said the director.
