These days, it has become common for actors and directors to make bold statements about their films. Earlier, a director said that he would walk around Ameerpet Center in his underwear if anyone was disappointed after watching his film. Another director beat himself with his own chappal after his film failed to do well at the box office, fulfilling the promise he had made before the release.
Now, the lead pair of the upcoming film Saha has made another bold statement. The female lead, Swetha Lakshman, said that Saha is not a small film but a big one in terms of content. “Our film may not be a big-budget film or have a big star cast, but we have big hopes for our story and are confidently releasing it,” said Swetha Lakshman at the trailer launch event of Saha.
She said that the film takes the audience through an emotional journey. “Saha is about the emotions in love that everyone experiences at some point in their lives. It has pain, sacrifice and emotions, and it tells how a single decision can change a person’s entire life,” said Swetha.
She further challenged audiences to not be disappointed after watching Saha. “I am not requesting, I am challenging everyone. You will say that Saha is a good film after you watch it. If you are disappointed, I will shave my head at Ameerpet Center,” said Swetha. She stressed that everyone should remember her words. “That means we made this film with good content,” she added.
Nishanth Doti is the director of Saha, while Shiva Kumar Kasaram is the lead actor and Swetha Lakshman plays the female lead. Tejeswar Velpucharla is producing the film under his Sumaira Studios banner.
While the female lead made a bold statement, the lead actor also made another strong statement. “If anyone doesn’t like the film, please call me and blast me,” said Shiva Kumar Kasaram. He even shared his personal phone number and asked audiences to call him. “Many people are saying in a lighter vein that our film is releasing alongside some big films, but I am confident about our film. If we get good collections, then only the industry will turn its attention towards us,” said Shiva Kumar.
Saha is hitting the screens on September 4. “We will come as underdogs and show you what a blockbuster with good collections looks like. You will have the best experience with Saha,” said Shiva Kumar.
