The trailer of the Ravi Teja-starrer Irumudi was unveiled on Wednesday evening at an event in Bheemavaram, Andhra Pradesh. Shiva Nirvana, who is known for portraying strong emotions, is directing the film. Priya Bhavani Shankar is the female lead, while GV Prakash Kumar is composing the music. Mythri Movie Makers is producing the film, which is set to hit the screens on August 21 in Telugu and Tamil.

Ravi Teja plays a middle-class family man who takes great care of his wife and daughter. His affection, however, extends beyond his own family, as he treats every girl in his village like his own daughter. Whenever something happens to any of them, his protective instinct turns into uncontrollable aggression.
His biggest weakness is his addiction to alcohol. At the same time, he wears the Ayyappa mala every year, transforming into a completely different and peaceful person during that period. When a series of girls are mysteriously killed in the village, the central question is whether he can put an end to the violence.
The trailer shows that director Shiva Nirvana has blended family emotions, action, suspense and thriller elements into an unusual family entertainer. It is definitely a different role for Ravi Teja, who is known for his mass avatars. Here, he plays a family man, a loving husband and a caring father to his daughter. However, when faced with injustice, he turns intensely aggressive.
His alcohol addiction adds another layer to the character, while the contrast between his aggressive nature and the calmness he embraces after wearing the Ayyappa mala makes the character even more intriguing.
Priya Bhavani Shankar plays Ravi Teja’s wife, while Baby Nakshatra plays his daughter. Senior actor Sai Kumar is also part of the film as Guruswamy, while Swasika has a substantial role with negative shades.
Vishnu Sarma is the cinematographer, while GV Prakash Kumar has composed the music. His background score, particularly in the trailer, elevates the intensity of several scenes.
