Some days after wishing each other on their respective birthdays, actors Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur now have another reason to celebrate. Earlier this Wednesday, writer-director Hanu Raghavapudi shared a heartfelt note marking the fourth release anniversary of his film Sita Ramam, starring Dulquer and Mrunal in the lead roles.
In the note, Hanu described the film as "a letter that never stopped reaching hearts," referring to the love letters that play a central part in the film's narrative. "Four years ago, we sent a letter into the world. Today, it still finds new hearts," the director wrote.
The filmmaker expressed his gratitude to:
Dulquer "for carrying Ram's kindness and dignity so beautifully"
Mrunal for "giving Sita a timeless soul"
Rashmika Mandanna for "bringing Afreen to life with so much heart"
Sumanth for "bringing strength, wisdom, and quiet emotion to Brigadier Vishnu Sharma"
He also thanked his Sita Ramam producers Swapna Dutt and Priyanka Dutt, with a special mention of Swapna's efforts behind the film. "Without your contribution and unwavering support, this celebration wouldn't have been as memorable," the filmmaker wrote, referring to Swapna Dutt.
Hanu Raghavapudi described Vishal Chandrasekhar's melodies in the film as memorable songs. Referring to all the departments and technicians who worked on the film, the filmmaker added, "This celebration belongs to you as much as it belongs to anyone."
The director thanked viewers for their continued appreciation of the film. He conveyed his special thanks to the audience "who still smiles, tears up, recommends, revisits, and celebrates Sita Ramam." According to him, the viewers made the film "an everlasting feeling" and their appreciation for it is "greatest gift this journey could ever receive."
Dulquer shared the director's post on his Instagram Stories space and expressed his love and affection for the film.
