Nearly half a dozen films are hitting theatres on August 7, and KJQ (King Jackie Queen) is one of them. Cherukuri Sudhakar is producing the film under the SLV Cinemas banner, while it is directed by KK (Kiran). Sadly, director Kiran passed away last year, making this release an emotional one for the entire team, as he could not witness the film's completion.
Deekshith Shetty plays the lead role, while Sasi Odela is making his acting debut. Yukti Thareja stars as the female lead. The team is dedicating the film to the memory of director KK. Deekshith, who earned appreciation for his performances in Telugu films like Dasara and The Girlfriend, is hoping to win over Telugu audiences once again.
"The Telugu audience has always encouraged me, and I sincerely thank them for all the love and support," said Deekshith Shetty. "Before every film's release, there is excitement along with a little fear. But this time, I also feel sadness because our director KK is no longer with us. Without him, this film feels like a son without his father. Whenever we have a doubt about the film, we don't know whom to ask. Thankfully, producer Sudhakar garu and Srikanth Odela stood by us and supported the team throughout."
Director Srikanth Odela attended the pre-release event as the chief guest. Interestingly, Deekshith had earlier worked with Srikanth in Dasara, while Srikanth's brother Sasi Odela is making his acting debut with KJQ.
"Just as you all supported me in Dasara and The Girlfriend, I hope you will support KJQ as well. The film is releasing on August 7, and I am excited to watch it with the audience in theatres," Deekshith said.
"I promise that I won't disappoint you. When you walk out of the theatre after watching KJQ, you will remember the characters King, Jackie and Queen. This film will definitely surprise you all," he concluded.
