Actor Anupama Parameswaran has addressed the speculation surrounding her recent cryptic Instagram posts, which had sparked rumours of a breakup with actor Dhruv Vikram. Speaking at the teaser launch of her upcoming film Crazy Kalyanam, Anupama said her posts were a personal expression and not an attempt to hint at or blame anyone.
Earlier this month, Anupama returned to Instagram after a months-long break with a series of posts about healing, freedom and choosing herself. The captions led many on social media to speculate that they were connected to her rumoured relationship with Dhruv Vikram, with whom she was linked during the filming of Bison Kaalamaadan. Neither actor has ever confirmed the relationship.
When asked about the posts, Anupama stood by what she had shared. "It's my social media account. I decide what to post. I was not venting out. I was just talking about a transition of a woman. And I feel proud that I did that."
The actor also dismissed suggestions that her posts were directed at someone in particular. "What do you know about me? What do you know about my life? So, it's okay. It is our Instagram, and we post whatever we like."
Her comments come after social media users interpreted her captions as breakup hints, with many believing they reflected a difficult personal phase. However, Anupama made it clear that she was simply expressing her own journey rather than responding to online speculation.
Crazy Kalyanam is directed by Badrappa Gajula and stars Anupama Parameswaran in the lead. Billed as a romantic family entertainer, the film also features Naresh, Tarun Bhascker, and Raju Weds Rambai-fame Akhil Uddemari in prominent roles. In the upcoming film, Anupama will be seen playing a character named Keerthi. Set against the backdrop of a wedding, Crazy Kalyanam is billed as a wholesome family entertainer.
