The teaser of EPIC was unveiled on Wednesday evening at an event in Hyderabad. Vaishnavi Chaitanya plays the female lead opposite Anand Deverakonda in this romantic drama directed by Aditya Haasan. This marks the second collaboration between Vaishnavi and Anand after their cult hit Baby.
Speaking about her role, Vaishnavi said she plays Kadali in the film. “Kadali is a beautiful character. When I heard the story, I felt she exists within me. She is very independent and knows what she is doing. It’s not just me — I believe every girl can relate to Kadali,” she said.
Anand Deverakonda plays the character Aditya in the film. “Aditya and his parents’ roles are designed very well. When you watch the film, I’m sure you’ll relate to those characters,” she added.
Earlier, the makers released the first song ‘Sancharame’, and Vaishnavi thanked the audience for making it a success. “Thank you for your love and support. The song has become a big hit,” she said.
Vaishnavi shared that she instantly connected with the story. “When I heard the story of EPIC, I knew I wanted to be a part of it. I really liked it,” she said. “The scenes between Aditya and his friends are very realistic. Everyone will feel that they have such friends in their own lives,” she added.
Calling it a beautiful love story, she said, “I’m sure everyone will relate to it when they watch it on screen. I never felt like I was going to work while shooting for EPIC. It gave me some truly memorable experiences.”
She also spoke about the bonding on set. “We discussed a lot about the scenes and how to improve them while shooting. It felt like a get-together of friends, and many of the people who worked on the film became my friends,” Vaishnavi said.
