After a long gap, director Venkatesh Maha, known for C/o Kancharapalem, is coming up with his new film Rao Bahadur. Satya Dev plays the lead, marking his second collaboration with the director. The film is a period drama and is also said to have elements of a psychological thriller. Interestingly, Mahesh Babu’s banner, GMB Entertainment, is presenting the film.

The makers have officially announced that Rao Bahadur will hit theatres on June 5. The release timing appears strategic, aiming to capitalize on the pre-academic season window.

The release date poster presents Satya Dev in a regal avatar, dressed in deep-toned traditional attire, exuding authority and mystery. An intriguing detail is the presence of an insect perched on his turban, hinting at symbolic layers within the narrative. The grand palace backdrop, entwined with creeping vines, further enhances the mood, suggesting a story rooted in legacy, power, and hidden truths.

Earlier, the film’s first single, 'O Sundari', turned into a hit, appreciated for its melodious composition and elegant presentation. The romantic track, featuring Satya Dev and Deepa Thomas, beautifully captures a bygone era, adding to the film’s period appeal and visual richness.

Rao Bahadur blends psychological drama with the fading echoes of an aristocratic past. Venkatesh Maha, who is handling writing, direction, and editing, appears to be crafting a story rooted in local sensibilities while carrying universal emotional depth.

The film boasts a strong technical team, with Kartik Parmar as cinematographer, Smaran Sai composing the music, and Rohan Singh handling production design.
