Young actor Sumanth Prabhas is gearing up for the release of his new film Godari Gattupaina. While his debut film Mem Famous was set against a Telangana backdrop, his second outing shifts to the Godavari region. The film is directed by debutant Subhash Chandra.
Nidhi Pradeep plays the female lead, while senior actor Jagapathi Babu appears in a key role.
The makers have now announced a major update, confirming that the film will hit theatres on May 8. It is produced by Abhinav Rao under the Red Puppet Productions banner. Earlier, the teaser and a song released by the team received a positive response.
Sumanth Prabhas, a native of Telangana known for his ease with the local dialect, has put in extra effort to learn the Godavari accent for this film. Much of the shooting took place along the Godavari region, and the teaser reflects its flavor with authentic accents and witty one-liners.
The film’s music is composed by Naga Vamsi Krishna, while cinematography is handled by Sai Santosh. The cast also includes Rajiv Kanakala, Devi Prasad, Sudharshan, Raj Kumar Kasireddy, Rohith Krishna Varma, and others in key roles. Veteran actress Laila will also be seen in an important role.
The makers promise that Godari Gattupaina will offer a blend of entertainment and emotion.
