Pradeep Ranganathan and Krithi Shetty play the lead roles in Love Insurance Kompany, which is set to release tomorrow. Directed by Vignesh Shivan and produced by Nayanthara, the film is arriving in Telugu through Shree Padmini Cinemas, owned by producer Sivaprasad. The producer has acquired the Telugu distribution rights of the film and is planning a wide release across the two Telugu states.
“There was a lot of competition for the Telugu rights, but I approached them first, so I got the opportunity to distribute the film here,” Sivaprasad said. The producer expressed confidence in the film and said he believes it has strong potential at the box office. “We are releasing the Telugu version in nearly 500 screens. As distributors, we are in a safe position,” he said.
Sivaprasad also spoke about his journey as a producer. He earlier produced Mathru, starring Sriram, and later backed another film titled Raraja. “We are currently making a film called Mahathi with Suhasini Maniratnam,” he said, adding that only around 10 per cent of the shoot is left.
The producer revealed that he had earlier distributed Vijay Sethupathi’s Ace and also made a Marathi film, which is now ready for release. “I produced and directed that Marathi film myself,” he said.
Talking about Love Insurance Kompany, Sivaprasad said the film explores the relationship between technology and human emotions. “This film is about what technology could look like in the future and how it affects human relationships,” he said.
“It shows how, with increasing dependence on technology, even human relationships are slowly becoming artificial.” Sivaprasad also had high praise for actor Pradeep Ranganathan and director Vignesh Shivan. “Pradeep is in great form right now, and Vignesh Shivan is a fantastic director,” he said. He added that Anirudh Ravichander’s music is one of the major highlights of the film.
“SJ Suryah’s performance will definitely steal the show. He is like another hero in the film. Vignesh Shivan has made this film without any compromises,” Sivaprasad said.
Speaking about his upcoming projects, Sivaprasad revealed that he is currently producing a film titled Rangoon Raja, with his brother Ajay playing the lead role. “That film may release in July, and Mahathi will also be ready for release soon,” he said.
