The makers of Adhira have unveiled a striking new poster that introduces SJ Suryah as the film’s antagonist, pitting him against debutant Kalyan Dasari in what promises to be a thunderous clash.
Directed by Sharan Koppisetty and created by Prasanth Varma as part of his expanding Cinematic Universe, Adhira positions Kalyan Dasari as a homegrown superhero. The latest poster, however, shifts the spotlight to the film’s villain: a demonic asura played by Suryah. Sporting bull-like horns and tribal attire, Suryah cuts an imposing figure against the backdrop of a volcanic eruption.
Adhira also marks the first time in his long career that Suryah has taken on such a larger-than-life antagonist role. His casting adds a layer of intrigue to the project in the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe which got established after the success of HanuMan.
Produced by RKD Studios, Adhira is billed as a tale rooted in Indian itihasas but told with the grammar of modern superhero cinema. Prashanth Varma was originally going to helm director for the film, but due to his current commitments, Sharan Koppisetty is set to direct. Shivendra Dasaradhi handles cinematography, with Sri Charan Pakala on music and Sri Nagendra Tangala designing the production. More details about the cast and crew are going to be out soon.
