Little Hearts, directed by Sai Marthand and starring Mouli Tanuj and Shivani Nagaram, is proving that you don’t need a blockbuster budget to make a mark at the box office. According to the latest reports from Sacnilk, the film continued its steady run on day 2, building on a respectable day 1 performance. Reports suggest that the film has already broken even on Day 1.

On day 1, Little Hearts collected approximately Rs 1.35 crore worldwide, offering a promising start for the small-scale entertainer. The film has now crossed the Rs 3.85 crore (nett) mark by the end of day 2, indicating decent word-of-mouth and sustained audience interest. Comparatively, day 2 brought in Rs 2.5 crore, which shows a stable hold, especially when stacked against similar modest-budget releases.

Little Hearts Movie Review: Unhinged, unserious, unabashedly hilarious

Little Hearts tells the story of Akhil (played by Mouli Tanuj), a college underachiever at constant odds with his father, played by Rajeev Kanakala. Shivani Nagaram plays his counterpart, equally lost in the chaos of college life, more worried about the resale value of textbooks than grades. With its mischievous tone and relatable middle-class setting, the film offers a slice-of-life narrative sprinkled with light-hearted campus banter and family dynamics.

Released on September 5 alongside Anushka’s Ghaati, Little Hearts has managed to quietly attract attention without much fanfare. The promotions, handled quirkily by the cast, had already set the tone with its playful take on college rivalries and middle-class struggles, and it seems to have struck a chord with the audience.

Produced by Aditya Hasan under ETV Win Originals and distributed by Bunny Vaas and Vamsi Nandipati, the film’s technical backbone is supported by Surya Balaji’s cinematography, Sridhar Sompalli’s editing, and Divya Pawan’s art direction.
