Nihal Kodathy, who played a significant role in Tuk-Tuk earlier this year, will soon be seen headlining a black comedy titled China Piece. The new single of the film was unveiled on Wednesday.
Karthik Rodriguez is the music director for China Piece. Titled ‘Idento James Bond’, the new single is a stylish composition, with a grunge-like texture and heavy use of techno sound. The lyrics by Dinesh Kakkerla, meanwhile, capture the almost-parodic concept of the film, where the protagonist finds himself in a spy-like situation without possessing the skill set to navigate the situation. Spoorthi Jithender and Harika Narayan are the playback singers.
The music video too intersperses vignettes from the film with a swanky promotional video, catching your attention with its stark-red frames and stylised choreography.
The official teaser of the film, unveiled a few months ago, promises for China Piece to be a high-concept dark comedy. Besides Nihal, Surya Srinivas will be seen in a prominent role. The ensemble cast of the film includes Harshitha Bandlamuri, Sreesha Nulu, Kamal Kamaraju, Srikanth Iyenger, Srinivas Vadlamani, Vinod Sagar, Deeksha Panth, Raj Tirandasu, Mahesh Achanta, and Vamsi Nekkanti.
Akki Viswanadha Reddy has written and directed the film. Veteran editor Marthand K Venkatesh is onboard for the film. Additionally, the technical team includes Suresh Ragutu as the cinematographer, Ganesh Paidipally as the art director and Prabhu CS for sound design. Mahi Derangula is the costume designer.
The film is produced under Moon Light Dreams banner.
