We had earlier reported about Nandu Vijay Krishna and Avika Gor coming together for a film titled Ugly Story. On Thursday, the team set a release date for their film — Ugly Story will arrive in theatres on November 21.
Produced by CH Subhasini and Konda Laxman under the banner of Riya Ziya Productions, Ugly Story promises to be an intense love story with an unconventional element of thrill and suspense underneath. Pranav Swaroop is the writer-director for the film.
The official teaser of the film, released nearly 3 weeks ago, gave a glimpse into the film’s storyline about an obsessive lover (Nandu) who crosses all boundaries of normalcy and sanity while desperately trying to get his reciprocated from Avika Gor’s character. Earlier, in March, the Ugly Story makers had unveiled the first single from their film, titled ‘Veera Prema,’ which captures the obsessive nature of its male protagonist that promisingly plays a major role in this dark, twisted love story.
The ensemble cast includes notable names like Ravi Teja Mahadasyam, Shivaji Raja, and Pragya Nayan. In the technical team, Shrie Sai Kumar Dara helms the cinematography and Shravan Bharadwaj is onboard as the music director. Editing is co-helmed by Srikanth Patnaik and Mithun Soma. Vithal Kosanam is the art director.
Avika Gor was previously seen in another thriller titled Shanmukha. Meanwhile, Nandu’s last on-screen appearance was in the OTT series The Mystery of Moksha Island.
